The room space is too small for two people. There is no grab-bar to use as you insecurely step out onto that wet floor. The showerhead is high (the water plentiful and the heat OK), so that if you are tall, the water sprays out onto the floor. The tub/shower has a fixed glass panel that only covers about 2/3s of the opening. There is no hook upon which to hang a towel close to the shower. (We removed the pillows and put in small cushions from the sofa.) The bathroom also has flaws. (We finally figured out some cycles and just worked around inefficiencies.) The pillows were so large and hard that they were more bolsters than pillows. For example, the coffee cups do not fit the coffee maker! The washer/dryer does not have instructions, and Aamir’s quick, initial overview proved insufficient. There was also nothing in the closet except the hanging-bar and 3 coat hangers (Aamir got more for us.) We moved dishes and put some of our clothes in the kitchen cabinets. No chest of drawers, no place to put your suitcase. There is not a single shelf or drawer in the living or sleeping area designed to take clothes. When he left, the other problems started to appear. (He even canceled the several passwords we had to use to get into the garage, use the elevator, open the front door and get into our room, substituting just one number for us non-techies to use.) He helped with the luggage and instructions on the room (temp, washer/dryer, etc). Luckily, Aamir answered the phone and immediately came out and helped us. Is that it? I have a passcode where do I use it? Of course, once you have been through the process, you are confident that this is the correct door and that the little password box is there, but not at first. Thus, the instruction about parking is “enter from Augusta Street.” As you sit in front of the establishment, you spot an unmarked garage door. As in many circumstances, the instructor knows what (s)he is talking about and assumes you do too. You get a robotic text advising that it is up to you to navigate the process (an unmanned front desk), which starts with knowing where the garage entrance is. They have the usual robotic inquiries and prompts but are quite able to deal with issues when things don’t work (the system would not upload my passport picture). Managers Raz and Aamir were super responsive in booking rooms, advising on/booking restaurants and dealing with our needs during our stay. (And the dishwasher helped.) The hotel is also well located it’s about a 5-minute drive to Jackson Square where there is plenty of shopping and free parking.
